Writing Tips and Suggestions for last year's essays (for reference only):

What are the 2 or 3 strengths or characteristics that have driven your career success thus far? What are the other strengths that you would like to leverage in the future? (500 words maximum)

Your professional strengths come here. The personal strengths go in to essay 3. Decide which strengths go where between these two essays. You must back the two or three strengths with experiences that prove the strengths. To answer the second part of the question, identify traits that you believe are your strengths but you haven't been able to use them at work. How will using them in your career make you so much more effective?
Please describe your short and long term goals post-MBA. Explain how: your professional experience has shaped these goals; why this career option appeals to you; and how you arrived at the decision that now is the time and the MBA is the appropriate degree. (500 words maximum)

Logically connect your past experience with the short-term goals and the short-term goals with long-term goals. Show how your professional strengths, abilities and interests are ideally suited for the career you have chosen. Identify the skills and experiences you need to build up in order to achieve the goals and show how the specific parts of the program will help you acquire them.
What personal qualities or life experiences distinguish you from other applicants? How do these qualities or experiences equip you to contribute to UNC Kenan-Flagler? (500 words maximum)
